Pop-up events give people an opportunity to ask, find out and have their say

January 2016

People from Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and Mid Wales are being given further opportunities to have their say about the way NHS Healthcare will be delivered for the next 20 years.

In the coming weeks NHS Future Fit pop-up stands will be at a number of locations, starting tomorrow at Bridgnorth Community Hospital.

The events are part of an ongoing conversation with people to help deliver the necessary changes to give patients the healthcare they need. There will be an opportunity to get information, ask questions and meet some of the people who are leading the programme.

Currently planned pop-ups are at:

Wed Jan 27, 10am-2pm Bridgnorth Community Hospital WV16 4EU
Thu Jan 28, 10am-2pm Ludlow Community Hospital SY8 1QX
Tue Feb 9, 10am-2pm Whitchurch Community Hospital SY13 1NT
Wed Feb 10, 10am-2pm Bishops Castle Community Hospital SY9 5AJ
Tue Feb 16, 9am-5pm Pride Hill Shopping Centre, Shrewsbury SY1 1PL

More event dates will be announced for Powys, Oswestry, Market Drayton, Newport and other locations shortly.

Dr Michael Innes, Stirchley GP and Chair of Telford & Wrekin Clinical Commissioning Group, will be attending the events at Ludlow and Pride Hill Shopping Centre.

He said: “It’s important that people know about the work we’re doing to improve healthcare. These pop-up events allow us to meet people in convenient locations. This is an issue in which everyone locally has a stake, and I always enjoy the opportunity of meeting them, listening to their opinions and answering their questions when I can.”
