Folder Joint Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee (JHOSC)

Scrutiny (also known as Overview and Scrutiny) is vital to the work of local Councils and their partners.  It helps to develop policy, improve the performance and holds the Cabinet and Portfolio Holders to account for their decisions.  Scrutiny looks at Council services as well as services provided by other local agencies and organisations.

There is a Joint Health Overview and Scutiny Committee  (JHOSC) for Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin which is jointly chaired by a Councillor from each Council.  JHOSC plays a key role in reviewing and scrutinising the work of the NHS Future Fit programme.
